My Happy Place

snowflake_challenge which started at the beginning of the year (I'm only 13 days late - that's not too bad) and I thought it would be a good way to kickstart my newest blogging venture. Plus, who doesn't love talking about the things they love? I'm also hoping it will be a good way to get to know some folk around here since I'm the new kid in school!
Day 1 - In your own space, talk about your Happy Place—the things that give you joy, calms you or keeps you sane. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
In this weather, my happy place is where you find me right now. I'm stretched out on my couch, there's a roaring fire and I'm piled under blankets and cushions. One of my cats is in front of the fire and the other is helpfully keeping my toes warm.
When I venture out of the house for reasons other that work, I make a beeline for a window seat at a coffee shop. A big mug of hot chocolate, a slab of cake, and I'm either reading or watching the world go by. I also adore a used bookstore.
If the weather is nicer, you will find me at the beach, toes dug into the sand, basking in the sun. I also have an affinity for lakes and mountains and spend as much time as I can in Wales, the Lake District or Scotland
