Spirit

Hi, I’m Spirit and welcome to my brand spanking new dreamwidth – there’s not much to see just yet, I’m still putting the finishing touches on, lick of paint, freshening up the flowerbeds, that kind of thing but I figured an introduction would only be polite.

Spirit is my name.
And yes, really Spirit is actually my name. It says so on my birth certificate.
Spirit Aydan Anderson.
My parents were hippies and I was born in the 70s, what else can I say?

I was born in the 70s. 1975 to be precise which makes me… old enough to know better but young enough not to care.
Or numerically, I’m 43.
I’m a Virgo, but won’t bore you just yet with the nitty-gritty details.

The most important thing, as you can probably ascertain from the title of the site, is that I am a fangirl. Completely and utterly, and also I have no shame in being so. It makes me happy and I’m not hurting anyone. Everyone has their hobbies and mine is being particularly enthusiastic about certain science-fiction shows.
Especially Stargate SG1. Really don’t get me started or you’ll never shut up. I get a little bit like an excited Daniel Jackson, actually, with the bouncing and the hands flailing and the talking faster and faster as the words trip and stumble over themselves as I try to get them out and people turn to me and say “Spirit, breathe!”
That also happened the first time I met Michael Shanks. And Amanda Tapping. And as for Richard Dean Anderson there really was NO breathing occuring whatsoever. But enough of that.

That’s the basics of me, at least as far as an initial introduction goes. I’m sure you’ll get to know me a bit better as I keep updating this thing. So welcome aboard, it’s nice to meet you
